There are 5 currencies that you can accumulate in game and 1 currency that can only be gained by paying real money. There are also limited-time currencies that can be earned from events and used in event specific stores.
Coins are used mainly for leveling and improving Kageso via Level Up, Synthesis, Refine, Transfer, and Breakthrough. You can also buy items used for story progression from cutscene choices, Forum and PM messages in your Tactical Terminal, or the Item Shop at Hakuya House.
Basic currency that can be earned from activities and events throughout the game.
Coin can be purchase at the Memorial Store (10000 Coins for 50 Memorial Passes)
Coin can also be earned via the Salvage function (basically selling Kageso) in the Kageso Overview Tab/Window (tap Kageso then Overview then Salvage in the Tactical Terminal). Note that you cannot salvage Bound Kageso.
Opals can be bought with Dust (400 Dust for 1 Opal, 2800 Opal for 7 Opal) or Diamonds (7 Opal for 280 Gems, 48 Opals for 1920 Gems, 168 Opals for 6400 Gems) from the Redeem Opal Window which can be opened by tapping plus button next to the Opal count at the top right corner of the City View.
You can also purchase up to 21 Opals at the Memorial Store (100 Memorial Pass for 1 Opal).
Each day you can acquire 1 Opal by completing 4 Tempest Missions at Spatial Tempest. Tap the cube next to the Tempest Mission counter at the bottom right corner of Spatial Tempest to claim.
Acquiring a new CG also nets you Opals (I think it was 4 Opals per new CG unlock).
Opals drop during the Endless Challenge in Valhalla.
Opals can be earned from the Hall of Memories.
(CITY) MEMORIAL PASS
CMP are earned by completing each in-game Day (after each Day’s Hours have been used up). Make sure you claim the CMP before moving on to the next Day by tapping the orange CMP icon that pops up. On the Freedom Routes, the CMP icon will pop up above the Central Department and you will receive CMP from the Intelligent Machine. During Hiro Routes, the CMP icon will pop up above the Research Institute and you will receive CMP from Darvela. The CMP icon will pop up above the Central Department with Anka giving you CMP for all other routes. All routes provide the same amount of CMP each day (210).
Dust is used to purchase Opals (plus icon at the top right corner of the City View), items and Outfits from the Item Shop of Hakuya House (300 Dust for 1 Shadow Trace, 30 Dust for 1 Refine Agent, 18000 Dust for Yukiri’s Harmonic Dance Outfit, 18000 Dust for Kun Yui’s Forest Princess Outfit, 18000 Dust for Kaliyyeh’s Horizon Bird Outfit), and items from Dark Bazaar. Finally, Dust is used to Refine Rare Kageso.
Diamonds can be traded for Dust (10 Dust for 1 Gem).
You can earn Dust by selling items at the Dark Bazaar.
You can earn 100 Dust once a day by completing the Exams at Competency Trial.
Dust can be acquired from Raging Tempest battles (the Tempest in the center of Spatial Tempest).
Kageso Anima is acquired via the Analysis Function in the Kageso Overview Tab/Window. The amount of Kageso Anima acquired via the Analysis function depends on the Quality and Cost of the Kageso consumed.
Rare Anima is used to purchase Exclusive Kageso and Gold-Quality Kageso via the Exchange button in the Kageso Overview Tab/Window (Tap Kageso then Overview then Exchange in the Tactical Terminal). Rare Anima is also used to Evolve Exclusive Kageso.
Rare Anima is acquired with Rare Kageso via the Analysis Function in the Kageso Overview Tab/Window. The amount of Rare Anima acquired via the Analysis function depends on the Quality and Cost of the Rare Kageso consumed.
Cat Bells can be used at the Item Shop at Hakuya House. You can purchase a Dried Fish for 1 Cat Bell or Fragment A (a random Memory Fragment of an unowned Class A Wielder. If all Class A Wielders have been acquired, the item will be automatically converted into Soul Shards) for 10 Cat Bells. Cat Bells are also used to Evolve Exclusive Kageso. Cat Bells can also be used to unlock two Wielders.

Receive 1 Cat Bell when you complete a Memento/Selection/Gatcha/Draw set (Memory Fracture, Kageso Reflection, or Exclusive) at Hakuya House. Completing a Memento/Selection/Gatcha/Draw set requires 6 Activations/Draws which costs 42 Opals total.
20 Void Residue can be traded for 1 Kageso Box (contains one random Kageso) from the Void tab of Universal Exchange. Universal Exchange can be accessed from the bottom left corners of both Spatial Tempest and Valhalla.
Void Residue is earned from battles in Spatial Tempest.
Inscription Chips are used to purchase items for the Wielder Liberation function from the Insc. Tab of Universal Exchange. Universal Exchange can be accessed from the bottom left corners of both Spatial Tempest and Valhalla.
Inscription Chips are acquired via Endless Challenges in Valhalla.
You can use Tie Points at the Intimacy Memento/Selection/Gatcha/Draw at Hakuya House from which you can acquire Coin and Kageso. Each activation costs 200 Tie Points.
Tie Points can be gifted and received from your user Friend list (bottom right corner of Tactical Terminal menu). You receive 10 Tie Points for each time you send or accept Tie Points to/from a Friend or Partner. You can send and accept Tie Points a total of 40 times per day.
Gems are the premium currency bought with real money.
Gems are used to buy items in the Item Shop of Hakuya House (100 Gems for 1 Soul Core, 250 Gems for 1 False Codex, 200 Gems for 1 Dye). Gems can be traded for Dust (10 Dust for 1 Gem) or Opals (7 Opals for 280 Gems, 48 Opals for 1920 Gems, 168 Opals for 6400 Gems).
Gems can be purchased from the plus icon next to the Gem count at top right of the City View.
